Launch of Lentor Premium Estate Service

Event description:
SMRT will be introducing a new premium service from Yio Chu Kang Terminal to Lentor Estate with effect from 26 May 2007 (Saturday). The service, which starts from Yio Chu Kang Terminal, will operate along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, Yio Chu Kang Road and loop through the Lentor Estate. Please refer to the accompanying map attched for more details. The service operates on Saturdays only from 3.00pm to 8.00pm with a frequency of 25 minutes.
Fare: $1.70 flat fare (Transfer rebate and concessionary travel not applicable).
Route Details: Yio Chu Kang Terminal/MRT Station, Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, Yio Chu Kang Road, Lentor Drive, Lentor Loop, Lentor Road, Lentor Cresent, Lentor Street, Lentor Loop, Lentor Drive, Yio Chu Kang Road, Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, Ang Mo Kio Ave 8, and Yio Chu Kang Terminal/MRT Station.

the Teacher Estate Service even during Peak hours really, is not money making, evening peak hours you can only see 1-3 people taking despite coming per 20 minutes. sometimes even none. at least 825 is better, every 15 mins come once, just enough to fill the 20 seats minibus, sometimes they also have to stand. drive 825 better but its better for 825 to change to an smrt bus and increase the frequency to like about 25-30 minutes. don't need to waste more buses and somemore only need 1 bus can already fill the people taking 825 and since the route is quite short, when it comes back, its still have resting time to rest and go for another 825 route.

sorry all this while i can't quote pple because it does not display on my screen, hope you don't mind and yes, there used to be a pa lance in 825. not sure of the ud but actually they should retain the pa lance. y bother to use busplus? 20 seats only and somemore sometimes if more people wait, the bus too full, wait next bus. they should actually leave the pa lance there, increase the frequency and they still do exceptionally well. i know that last time with the ud and lance, frequency is 10 minutes. now also same, got 2 buses, 3 buses sometimes, frequency 15 minutes. no good. they just put a lance there, increase the frequency and no matter how long it take, the passengers will be more than willing to take the bus. save cost and this prevents the "overload" in the minibus. one time i saw the 20 seats taken and some 4 people have to squeeze. 3 people still waiting to take 825 and they can't take and as a result, have to take the next bus. fortunately, this bus is more emptier, along with the 3 passengers, only got like 15. still got 5 more seats. so what they should do is REMOVE the teachers' estate service and reroute 825 with the roads the teachers' estate has. save 1 more bus. from these 2 buses, they have to use 4 minibuses. 80 seats. use a lance and reroute the new 825 with old 825 and 590(teachers' estate service) and increase the frequency and still, the bus would be empty. in costs, they save 1 minibus cost. more better.
