Articulated Buses vs Double Deckers

Oh yeah heard from some BC that
especially for Volvo Buses, the water will boil very easily and most of the time it will reach the boiling point and the bus cannot move if not it will explode
I am still confused over this
Can anyone enlighten me over this?

what i think is that DDs are better than artis coz artis occupies too much space while DDd are oni tall but doesn't occupy that much space. Some ppl say that DDs are slower than artis but is not really veri true. There was once i took a DD on service 168 & at SLE it overtook an artis 969. I know that DDs has a higher velocity than artis but some artis are slow! SMRT buys artis just to look modern and high class , they might think that SBSt looks outdated & cheap coz of its DDs. After all Dds are better

Artic buses are generally faster, but, but, now there is the ulti-fast B9TL.
So get a B9TL on 161, and race Habit on 969 lah, then verdict... -

Kranji's bendies on 190 are generally fast especially TIB1035B , but 960 is damn slow , i once took a 960 bendy cant remember is 1088Z or 1089X at PIE 190's 1035B overtook it. Hmmm........ not really. But i think Volvo's new engines has alot of torques. For example, the D7A? Can't rmbr; has 290bhp with 1200nm or torque. The B12B/M engines with 340bp has 1750nm. I think Mercedes' engines has one of the lowest torque, 250bhp has only 900nm, the engine used in O405 MKII (SMRT's one) Engine: OM447Ha , horizontal (H), turbo-charged(A), somemore 12litre. One of the biggest advantages of dds I think is the ability to provide good scenery. I once board svc 25 towards bedok direction and I can see centennial tower near suntec city at hougang avenue 3 at around bus stop B06. It is a rather amazing sight because the whole stretch of your view is flat and you can see a few tall towers.

we on 960 was looking at 190 and thinking, WTH! they so pack faster than us ar? Sometimes this bus speeds really amuse me! Hmmm ya the LO3x can really speed well, despite its less powerful 252bhp Cummins engine, especially around the 2 gear and oso when it is about to lock up the gears. Its was the B9TL during its maiden years!

haiyah. this kinda thing hard to say lah. depends on BC also.
maybe one day u take Habit on 969 and it overtakes DDs of 161/168.
another day u take DD of 168 and it overtakes bendies of 969/SDs of 858.
unpredictable lah. so just leave the matter alone. -
Recently I was waiting for bus a Bus Stop and a Bendy came...it stopped at the bus stop and it was damn warm. I mean, the heat is spreading towards the bus stop, it was like so hot man.
When the bendy drive off, the wind that blew at us, is even hotter!! -
Oh, 1035B is fast? Great, I would try next time. I have took some batch 2 Habits and sometimes their acceleration is just loud and slow. Not generalising though. In batch ones, some like 1083L, at gear transition, rpm push until 2000 and there is a sickening jerk.

I can also feel the heat from the VSO. Maybe it got a super good radiator? Disperse heat easily ?

Generally SMRT buses are more faster than SBST buses,Be it acceleration/Mid/Top speed.SBST buses are majority speed restricted(Can't go beyond 65km/h),But there are always some excellent ones in every depot,Even Some MKIIIs are much faster than some CRBs!LO3Xs faster than any DDs!SMRT Nissans can overtake SBST Volvos like sardines,Provided if the Volvo are restricted to 65km/h only,But in real thing the European brands still outshone the Jap!
