Regarding SBS189 (to WCFT), is there any service to the ferry terminal after SMRT decided to terminate all of 189 at Kent Ridge Terminal?
SBS got all of its 189 trips to the ferry terminal, then Tibs upset every1 by operating it as 189A, and now, no more..
i have no idea...its been 2 years already....no bus goes dere, so i am not in the position to give a definite answer...Originally posted by iveco:Has the upgrading of WCFT been completed?
LAs were not deployed on service 189 (Bt Batok - Clementi West St 2/WCFT). Not sure whether they were deployed on the original route to Marina Centre.Originally posted by muziq bus:i remembered dat...so LAs were neva deployed?
I observed that passengers in Clementi Town Centre returning home to Clementi West prefer to take service 189 over service 282 as the latter goes by a longer route. These passengers are always able to get onto the service 189 bus even at peak hours.Originally posted by muziq bus:any of u feel that bendy should be deployed on 189? Used to have though........peak hours really important....by the time it return to BB, got double......at BB East Ave 23, dere were more than 30 odd ppl waitin for da bus.....cannot board....ppl move to the back oso no use....no more space.....
Service 189 stopped calling WCFT from August 2001. So that makes it almost 4 years now.Originally posted by muziq bus:i have no idea...its been 2 years already....no bus goes dere, so i am not in the position to give a definite answer...

Service 61, in the direction of Eunos, was amended to ply Geylang Bahru, Bendemeer Rd and Whampoa East instead of Jln Kolam Ayer and Whampoa North. Other services affected were 26, 107 and 853.Originally posted by iveco:61 got amended? How was it amended? I don't remember this route having any changes since it was extended to Eunos in 1990.
is it becos the demand to WCFT is too low? SBS189 operated 100% of trips, then down to about half from TYibs, and eventually all to KRT..Originally posted by tranquilice:Service 189 stopped calling WCFT from August 2001. So that makes it almost 4 years now.
Tibs claimed road works in WCFT as the reason for having to amend service 189 to Kent Ridge. At the same time Tibs introduced service 189A to PPFT (Harbour Dr).Originally posted by 105090:is it becos the demand to WCFT is too low? Are you talking about that Condo swimming pool? Or that blue strip? You're right.. it looks like some body of water.Originally posted by sinicker:a bit off-topic:
the 1st picture of BB INT. is that a reservoir or a pool of water beside the tunnel the MRT trains enter??
oh, that is a very simple question for me to answer.....earlier this year, there were constructions to make a drain there to remove that pool of water. Somehow, water got stuck there but now, the drains is completed and i believe that the pool has been drained.Originally posted by sinicker:a bit off-topic:

A few months back for a while I noticed that svc 170 would park at Clementi Int after midnight until sometime in the early morning.Originally posted by Apex-LW'21:- *170: Queen St - Larkin Ter (Johor Bahru)(Red Plate)
