  how long was the delay? poor thing.. hope you were not late or anything...
  
  i think i'll not take the trains there as i'm a little bit claustrophobic... dowan to freak out when it grinds to a halt and stays there

  I think if you feel strongly about that person, then you should try to woo him/her. It is the onus of the attached person to reject advances from external parties. You should give up when there's clearly no chance.

  No, quite the oppposite.
  
  Anyway Contiki seems to be a good choice if you're looking for adventure-travel and something different from your usual tour packages.

  worse, there are a few who think that no matter what, still free game...

  first I check availability. So I go to the guy and say 'well you lucky man, blessed with such a fine partner, you know what, lots of other guys would love to be in your position...hey tell us, are you two really going along or not, ya know, serious or not.....you are? well good for you...cos you know if you're not, lots of other guys would be interested to know, (wink wink) anyway, great, well, see ya later.
  if that happens, then I designate it as infatuation, and wait for the attraction to go away

  here's the thing.. in your place, would you want some woman to keep pursuing your guy, even when your guy tells her to go away?
  
  a lot of people say to keep on pursuing.. even when rejected...
  
  personally, if anyone is attached, they're totally off limits..
  
  a matter of respect... and if you love someone, respect is one of the first things that come first..

  No. But what can I do about it if it happens? I can't control external factors. Only can build a strong relationship so that my guy will automatically and definitely say NO to the girl, isn't it.
  
  I focus on what can be done. Not expect everybody to do what I do.

  then tables turned (forgive me, i'm like that when i think and analyse a problem), would you hassle someone you had very strong feelings for when clearly, he's happily attached to another woman?
  
  even if it meant that if you are successful, it's going to be hell on his psyche and heartbreak for them...

  i'm not sure if this makes sense.. but for one to go after another who is already in another relationship is more likely to be in a lose-lose situation..
  
  firstly, if the person is in a stable and strong relationship.. he gets rejected and disapointed..
  
  secondly, if the relationship is on the rocks.. it might be a rebound..
  
  i know it's generalising the situation.. but i guess it's a safer approach to go after someone who is not in a relationship..

  If after assessing the situation I think I'd have a chance, I would try for awhile. If his relationship is very strong & there is no way I can break them up, I'd give up.
  
  If his relationship is fragile & I succeed, then their relationship was never meant to be in the first place.

  i'd let them run their course.. no matter how fragile, there will be scars if there is someone who places himself in the middle of a couple..
  
  then there will always be that doubt too...
  
  too many things.. the analytical side of me isn't dead and buried yet the emotional side of me has not overwhelmed the analytical side yet...
