And, these birds must be properly caged to prevent them from direct contact with wild birds.
Residents have been given two weeks to get rid of any excess poultry, failing which the AVA wil step in and remove them.
AVA warned this in a directive issued on Wednesday to the island's residents.
With the resurgence of bird flu in the region, authorities want to make sure precautions put in place on Pulau Ubin are maintained. - CNA
