bear, someone offered me a second hand 80-200afd for $1200 (prob neg to 1100). this lens is very very similar in optics as the one that i lust for (70-200afs vr $3k new)) meaning it's just as sharp, just that it doesn't have certain features which are nice to have, but not essential.
i'm like banging my balls.. dunno wanna buy anot... *sigh* -

the price of $9758 does not come with keyboards, mouse, speakers and all that yet! and being Apple, i think the complete thing would be about $10,500

the saving grace about this lens (and most others that i've bought) is that it's very "liquid". if i need to moolah, i put it up on the net, it'll get snapped up within 24 hours. at a good price too.
