imagine u are very gd frens with ur ex...still can do the usual stuff together when u r still a couple E.G shopping, movies, lunch
then one day u tell him tat u r attached to another guy n after tat, he suddenly disappears n gives u the cold shoulder...wat does it mean?

but there are still cases whereby current bf doesnt like the idea of their gf seeing their ex, which is what the ex is trying to do: avoiding possible misunderstandings and conflicts. -

www's comment that u highlighted in red can be very true, but perhaps not in this case of yours.
from personal experience, i'm not very close to many of my exes.. a couple are totally lost contact, two more are in contact but not close.
even the closest one, i just went to her wedding a couple of weeks back, but usually we just see each other once or twice a year, online quite rare, sms even rarer...
i just dun have "close" exes.. not that we hate each other.
maybe in that sense i can't really comment on ur case. -

i would think he's being a gentleman about it...
his presence would give your current guy doubts.. and it's something as a gentleman, one would never ever do...
so he distances himself from you, for the both of you... and for you...
he cares.. enough to think about you and the implications of him still being around, giving others fuel for speculation which is unfounded... the best and only thing for him to do would be to go away, so that you and your current guy have no hanging doubts....
he's being a good man... be thankful for that

we all have our private lives out there and i probably sway towards that direction too, once i am attached.
as far as i see it, the sians will always be a socialising corner instead of a group. its not like we are running a cult here.
as long as one doesnt treat this place like a interchange (parking their vehicle only when they run outta car parks elsewhere), we will always enjoy the company of one another here. -
