i'm trying to tell dino the same story... at first he couldnt get it.
finally, he tried to make himself into a sitting position, wif his tail stretched all the way to the side. becoz he's a jack russell terrier, which is known for his very flexible body, he managed to perform some kinda yoga by bending his body very slowly, very gently, stretching to the extreme, and caught his tail wif his teeth and gave me a "see? i did it!" look.
so at other times when his tail is out of his sight, he wud forget abt it and carry on wif his own life, almost forgetting that he has a tail behind him.
once he caught a glimpse of his tail again, he wud perform another yoga and say "see? i did it again!", wif a smug.
once in a while, u have to chase after happiness, not completely ignore it and assume that it'll come to u or follow u. most ppl wud give an excuse of "let nature takes its own course" or "what is ur is urs, what's not urs will not be urs no matter how hard u try".
there's certain extent of trial u need to make to achieve happiness, and u must know exactly when to pull back and save ur effort for something else more worthwhile, before u get hurt.
though it may be a ridiculous metaphor to most of u here, but dino has taught me a valuable lesson: when u have happiness following u around, do not take it for granted. once in a while, u need to recall or remember how u did it, how much effort (by getting the tail between ur teeth) u have put into it to achieve what u have... and cherish it.
ha ha ha.... that's all for my crap
