something just came into my mind earlier this morning: "are singapores' lives difficult or are singaporeans making their lives difficult?".
in fact, this issue emerges every now and then, especially after a hard day of work, to keep me occupied on my way to school or back home..
there are always two ways of looking at a glass of water: half-emptied or half-filled.
one should find himself more than contended, comparing how life is like over in some third-world countries where it is a luxury to be having a decent meal a day.
on the other hand, we are always taught to aim high with great ambition, which at times deprive us the quality time to really in sought of what actually complete and fulfill who we really are.
someone told me, "just do what you interest most lor", which i cant agree more. enjoying what you are doing is one method that u wont find urself with too many regrets at the end of the day.
however, in reality, how many of us can actually achieve that? how many of us have became or on the route of becoming pilots and doctors as we claimed to be when we were young?
and this leads to another question: "why pilots and doctors? why not bartender or musician?"
is it because these aint the popular and money reaping occupations in this financial-oriented society?
all in all, are we really living a tough life or are we just kicking ourselves in the teeth?
