The Sians' Online Diary: Episode 3

dear diary,
have you ever woke up one day and suddenly feel that whatever you have done is meaingless? i mean not all of it of course, some of it though.
tracks and roads are built to be used, no doubt. with the never ending lands beyond the horizon, it is unlikely that one can cover every patches.
weeding out the first patch of grass and laying the first tar could be difficult. but the thought of what can be harvested kept you going.
people wont start using the road if the lands covered is too short. as such, you gathered a few friends to increase productivity.
as the days go by, the distance is stretched. people and vehicles avoid the muddy area and began using the road.
tired but fulfilling.
before long, you and your comrades covered a substantial area of the town.
one fine day, your colleague shares his thought over lunch, "hey, as much as i enjoy laying the road, i think it is about time we show some of the users how easy this can be done. with more manpower, we can continue with this direction, while the others can continue with that."
"i think its a brilliant idea.", you said.
the next morning, you stepped out of your house with high hope, greeting every users who are using the road and began to share your idea.
"no. i just want to use the road. i am not going to dirty my hands with those tar."
"nah. as much as i enjoy using the road, i wanna spend my time on something else."
"do i get paid?"
negative answers brought you back to earth. none of them were moved even after you showed them how easy these can be achieved.
bearing that disappointment, you shared the feedback with the rest of your colleagues upon return.
"never mind. i guess let us just continue and see how it goes. hopefully, they will see how easy it is and will choose to join us some days", one of them said.
having no other alternative, you just went on with what you did right on the very first day.
one fine day, one of the your trustworthy counterparts came to you, "say, i dont think this is working out. i worked my ass off working on these roads and it seems to me there is no end to it. furthermore, it kills me to see the mere few of us working on it. i mean i got a day job to cope with, u know?"
"i guess i gotta split here. thanks for the company, mate. until the days when these road users become more initiative, i'll be spending more time on my personal agenda." and off he goes.
you cant force him to stay. after all, he aint paid a single cent for doing all these.
one week later, another two of your mates felt tired as well and decided to leave too.
within a month, many have followed suit, leaving only a miserable few.
so what are you going to do next? are you going to do likewise?

Kindly let www knows that I can't agreed more with him; the fun, the laughter, the enjoyment, the hard workz...etc, we all have gone through together. The moment we all have can't described it all by words, only one's true self will know by heart and will remember and treasure always.
If he ever wanna laid an airfield I will be there to help out, none the less others might dim useless at the moment. You will never knows when an airplane will lay, and I strongly believe that by doing so , you will have the bargaining power . This power will not be something which is controllable , it would be unleashed and strike the minds of others hard enough to give them an awakening . I do hope to see people with these expressions , " How the hell does they do it ? " . All you could do is ...... smile . And the message is clear .
I always remember someone told me “ Be the best that you could ever imagine to be and spread this message out to everyone you earnestly know . After all , 70 years of living without meaning is as good as flushing your life down the toilet bowl the moment you started it . ”

dear diary,
another long day ahead and the absence of my colleague doesnt help much to the situation.
but fortunately, the thought of it's friday today relieve some sorta consolation.
felt rather lack zest this morning, maybe because i missed out my usual naps for yesterday and stayed out late for a game of bowling with the guys.
speaking about bowling, i thought yesterday was fun, especially when one's winning.. HAHHAHAAHHAA. i probably get kick for making that statement but i cant resist it.
and the atmosphere is resuming a little.

When it finally became independent, Someone told us the honest hard truth – that we, were now responsible for our future. What we made of it was what we would get. He said "No one owes us a living!" We had to be a rugged society, ever ready to roll up our sleeves to get the work done. It is a message hard-wired into the consciousness of my generation and older. And I believe it has done us a world of good.
Personally, I find being more sociable and more friendly as she is now moves around greeting old friends and colleagues, finding out how they and their families are getting on. This caring side of her nature is now more evident.
Maybe in ones life, something do change.

hi diary,
I hate to be telling you unpleasant things, but I think I need to voice out a little on my frustrations, in order not to carry them to my dreamland tonight.
no doubt a IT project could be a pretty tough job for students who are not exactly savvy in IT, but I always thought for students who are studying computing course should at least have a certain degree of understanding in software applications, shouldnt they?
I kinda understand how dis-oriented and inept I was back in secondary school and poly times when involved in team project. But it is hard to believe that I am still seeing such phenomenon happening in the adults' world, given that I am teaming with people with working experiences.
How the hell will I have thought that the team members even have problem like putting data correctly on a winword document?!
one of them even had the cheek to ask to look at my project diary for reference. how on hell can u find a person who doesnt know how to write a proper diary?!
and i havent even ask them to touch on the programming part of it.
I have no qualm if the result turns out to be poor due to my own neglience and inabilities, but I cant say the same if it is caused by the lack of committment from the others.
anyway, i can only pray that the marks are not evenly distributed among the group members. i might sound a little selfish over here, but i rather be standing high and dry on the ground than to be drown together with people who cant even bother to save themselves.

Dear Diary,
this is the 1st time i m writing in u so i m gonna make it short n sweet
although i know da ge's last post was abt 2 weeks ago but pls help me tell him tat regardless of age, there will alwaz be people like tat, both at work and doing school projects.
xiao mei me oso kena before when i was in uni...in the end i got so pissed with my grpmates tat i decided to voice out my unhappiness to the tutor n i completed the project on my own
help me ask da ge to bear with it a little more...his hard work will be recognised eventually

Ke Lian de Diary.. its seems that u are being neglected again.....
let me just pen down the developments over these months....
(as far as i can remember)
First of all... the establishment of the PTTs PTe LTd... it has been set by by the founders, FI and Churra and Audlene... and has recruited 4 members (and is still counting) thus far, namely estee as pratinium member, dot n me as member and realitybites as probation..
rB> (dunno since when) has become the official sians maria or rather a self-proclaimed and highly over-paid maria 
with alot more benefits that others... we have been going to chong at mdm wong for the past few weeks... its kindda becoming a routine to meet and eat kfc followed by taking bus 32 to mohd sultan road... 
planning to go JB makan and walk walk (organised by rB) but it never seems to be materialized we have stop organising sentosa outings and healthy living lifestyle outings are replaced by rollerblading, cycling and other stuff........ our forum's former name (The Sians) has gone through many changes with lotsa comments and finally the moderator have decided to use this Outing Owls (The Sians).... cwill is back finally... long awaiting for his arrival.... and finally... many regular siansters like stefan, wee, crystal etc etc are MIA-ing for sometime liao.. hope they faster come back so that the grp gets bigger and we can have more fun......... -

it has been a long time since i wrote "in" you... juz wan to mention that im touched dat somebody actually remembers me!!! anyway i've been performing duty in camp... becos my base is open 24/7 in all sense of da word... and i suay suay in one of da duty team... so most of da time im in camp... but if need be... juz sms me... if anything interesting is happening... im sure da grp is already getting bigger... no?

long time no write eh.... how have u been? hurhurhur... haiz nowadays too bz to do anything... com spoil... sheeee beh sian... always work morning work night off 12hrs work normal den work day work nite off 12 hrs work normal.... LIEW.... y liddat.... ji boring liang san xia.... life is definitely cannnoooooot make itttt..... havent been to any outings... stay at home everyday haiz... when will dis life end?!

went to bangkok last week..it was a good break for me.... though too early as i certainly believe i dont deserve this break.. haiz.. but what to do.. chances to go overseas dun come by so frequently..........came back and saw msges from my classmates asking me if im going to sch to study...
