Many of the accomplishments of
the Sians; is being recognized for are the direct result of the efforts of the dedicated team of people who work and organise outing for the forum and most importantly, the outing
Organisers and
Participants we work with. There are also many others forum mates or webby supporters of this forums, whom we have met or yet to meet them and we would like to thank them all for their vital long-term support of this Forum.
I see that we have made great progress: advancements in assistive participantion; socialable outing is much more accessible; the general level of awareness is substantially better; and opportunities for those new forum mates to join in
the Sians Family are beginning to improve. Drawing from my own recent experience at the few organise outing, I look with great promise on our forum outing, one which I hope will soon be a national initiative, where our participants are getting the opportunity to get to widen our circle of friends and share valuable experience, and in some cases, enjoy each other's company. These kinds of initiatives give me hope - I say hope because we have only just begun. Its easy to be fooled sometimes into thinking that we have progressed farther than we have - The reality is that a great majority of them are still oppressed in our forums.
Many of us here are committed to a vision of full inclusion -contributing members of our communities. Meeting this vision will take a major commitment and a major outing on the part of our
SgFamily as a whole. It will also take the same kind of determination modeled by a few
Elite's Leaders.
We know what needs to be done. Now we need to go out and do it.Cheers
Will
