Got my license more than 10 years ago...
when i was younger and way more foolish (not that i'm any wiser now) i thought of owning a nice old VW-beetle...
now, i say to hell with it... overall cost would be about $10,000 a year... not really worth it..
and.. besides, i can't even afford a COE

yes thought of getting a car b/f, but in reality, find owning a car a liability, unless your job requires you to move around daily meeting clients, else not worth it.

a small car with a 1.3l enging goes for about $65,000 in Singapore with the COE thrown in...
then i look at the back of an Aus mag, the same car going for A$13,990...

The fact that the govenment didn't intervene to lower the price seems to me that it's legal to sell them at skyscraper prices.
Second. Capitalism. This is the things that make things so expensive. Take a look at the amount of money people earn from selling cars.
Yup. labour is the most expensive overhead cost, long term. -

But i hope to drive e " Lexus SC430"
i think its a very cool car... much better than e SLK 320....
