  thanks for the great effort..but me very blessed to have a girlfriend who's not too particular about my attire..we always go out wear T-shirt and jeans one..boring but un-sophisticated..used to collect branded 'cheong' clothes during my wonder years..wasted time shopping for the most un-detectable imitations to show off to fellow cheongsters..bummer

  I think its really up to the individual at the end of the day. Some girls like guys who look dirty (look huh not ARE dirty), very grungy kinda look, so well personal grooming may not be this guy's greatest asset. I think it is important to bring out urself in what you wear. To be frank, if you walk the way an Ah Beng walks, wearing a tuxedo, shirt, pants and tie will not make you any less an Ah Beng. Just keep yourself hygenic and be confident, that is to me real personal grooming because i believe that Men makes the clothes rather than then other way round.
