To what extent do you tell the truth..

to your friends? or would you rather keep quiet in order to keep the friendship?
I realise that too many people say too easily, "... i'm your friend and i will definitely tell you..."
at the end of the day, its really crap.

truth about wat?
i believe my close frens know ALOT of truths about me. if they don't it's probably insignigicant or wasn't mentioned b4 (becos it was insignificant)
wat sort of truths are u tokking about?
maybe u're referring to how i think about my frens. as we're frens but i dun tell them the truth about how i really feel towards them? those kind of truths? well close frens CERTAINLY know wat i think about them, the good and the bad. ESP when i'm drinking i will lash out with no holds barred. those that can tahan me, are still my frens! ahhahaha

i believe sometimes it is prudent to practice tact when dealing with our friends. but after many years of friendship, my frens and i reach a certain level of understanding where i can really kao beh them (and vice versa) and that wouldn't spell the end of the friendship.
to be honest, the more i care for a friend, the more merciless i get when i talk to them about something that pisses me off (or watever "truths" need to be told). and many times it depends on your choice of words and tone of voice. "I HATE YOUR GUTS YOU MOTHERFU[/i]CKER! GO TO HELL AND DON'T COME BACK" won't go down with ANY friend no matter how long u've known each other!

things i tell my frans depends on how much i trust them....

well i guess if both parties realli consider each other as good frens and real frens, listening to wat the other has to say even if it hurts will prob wont hurt the frenship. come on.. if our frens r jus yes-men (and women), agreeing to watever we say and telling us oni wat we wish to hear den wat kind of frenship is this? and if we on the other hand jus expects to hear the nice things frm our frens and recoil on hearing the ugly truth wat kind of frens are we?Originally posted by kopiosatu:truth hurts
