how u think of abortions? is it cruel? and why?

If the baby is not healthy or the doc say the baby is abnormal.. I rather abort it then to bring him/her to this world and suffer..
This may be cruel and hard to do.. but it's better than the baby suffer all his life...
If the baby is normal.. healthy... I guess it's cruel to go for an abortion...
But if the mother is not ready for the baby, I rather her to go for an abortion then to give birth to the baby and then leave the baby to die... -

although i dun really like that idea...
but i am not strongly against it ...

Look at the world. There are countless abnormal, weird children. Are they all suffering? Whats the issue then? The issue is people who think they can decide whether the child would be happy or suffering. You cant decide for them, your responsibility is to give life to them, give them the best you can, whether they are happy or not, its not up to you. Even normal kids suffer and are unhappy, why shouldnt these 'abnormal' ones, be given a chance at life?
I have a fren who has a mentally retarded daughter, to them initially, its a pain but as they see her grow up, learn to do simple things, they found her to be the joy of their lives. Its all in the perspective. -

as much as i think its realli up to the person, i also agree its kinda cruel to end a life jus like tt. and i do think an embryo is living and thus has all the rights to live jus like us. -
well sometimes u never know how the baby will turn out...
in any case, i still think abortion is cruel...whether the kid will grow up abnormal or not, it is the duty of the parents to make their children's life fun and worthwhile...
