A 16 year old high school girl named Katie is mysteriously killed. Her body is found in a closet with her face distorted in a strange fashion. The authorities are puzzled by her death and cannot figure out what happened to her. The mysterious murder even scares Becca, Katie's friend, so bad that she is locked up in a mental institution.
Rachel, Katie's aunt, starts asking Katie's friends about anything suspicious before her death and finds out about the video tape that Katie and some of her friends watched. When Rachel first hears the story about anyone who watches the video dies one week later she thinks it is a dumb legend. Rachel soon realizes that the legend is true. How else do you explain that everyone that was with Katie when they watched the video died at the same time?
Rachel goes up to the cabin where Katie and her friends watched the video and finds some interesting things. One of which is an unmarked video tape on the ground. She puts the video in the VCR and watches as the bizarre images go by. Suddenly the phone rings and a voice says, "Seven days" and hangs up. Rachel has now gotten herself into a compelling journey to try and save her life and solve the mystery.
