after kena siao kian at a Siao Kianing Session with some of my male frens... i felt compelled to ask dis qns....
if by 19+++ going 20 n u cannot go out at nite for supper for example... around 10+ 11+ 12+... does dis mean u have no freedom???
my frens all laff at me coz usually after 10pm my "Customs" close and nobody wan to chop my "passport".... although sometimes i feel annoyed and frustrated... but at least i understand why... though i also yearn for a life like my frens...

hmm well 20 is not THAT old... but i guess yeah it must suck that ur frens can stay out later but u can't.
but i guess different parents are different, your time will come dude!
go home b4 midnite also good lar.. no need to pay midnite cab.

only recently after working liao then manage to go out.... and if often also hv to bluf go chalet or wat.... or go meet sec sch frens for chat.. =) at that pt of time i was already 22... =) -
hahaha. i got that all the time when i was still in school. and i think i am still getting some of it lately, for going out so often.
the mentality and mindset of your parents will automatically be adjusted once you started working.
in most cases, parents could not sense your state of ability and responsibility in handling total/more freedom without abusing it. thus, not wanting to be too loose about it.
if you find yourself really yearning for more allowance, do speak to your parents. i'm sure they will understand and give in.
there is no basis of either you to your friends to compare freedom in this manner as different families operate diferently. -
hmm, my parents allow me to come home late, or even go home the next day as long as I call them and tell them i'm coming home late..

i oni freedom can neber be given...need to fight for it...even if it means war with ur parents. or else they will tie u down till their last breath

well, not that my father dun bother about me, but he sleeps at 12am.......so if i'm not back by then, he also dunno..............muahahahah..........=P

actually im not comparing...
i juz dun understand my frens...
somemore they can ask me how i can live such a life... and one of them even asked if i hated my parents... den when i said no they said i liked this kinda life... all locked up and such...
although i wan to be able to go out at nite and so on... but i dun wan to do it too often also... midnite cab? not a problem coz i have Ahmads to bring me around if i wan to go out with them...
as for getting da so-called freedom when i'm working... im also not sure lah... -
dun listen to your frens lah, take it slowly at a time, i also gt my freedom at ard 21, if u suddenly rebel, ur parents may not be able to take it and become more strict. they will know den they will say no den bargain abit they will give a time which is 30mins from da time i called them... den if not back by den my hp will burst!

yeah i got my freedom late and now i appreciate what my parents did. Now, my parents could not even care less what time i reach home...i am thankful they were strict with me when i was younger, so Stefan, dun worry about it, in time to come, u r parents will see your restlessness and will start to loosen a bit, esp after u go NS. remember, whatever they do, it is becos they love you.

actually i have no idea why i got all the freedom, like xiao gas.. my parents actually kinda don't bother even if i reach hm late
but for my younger sis.. until now if she don't reach hm by 9pm.. my mum will ask me to bomb her hp liao -

slowly slowly, some parents cannot accept the fact that their child needs them lesser and lesser, they want to protect their child. Be patient, they will come to understand they need to let go, its a matter of time, as for ur frens who laff at you, let them, i dun think they are good frens if they say bad things abt ur parents like this, your parents love you, is it worth it if you rebel against ur parents just so as to stay overnight outside? no rite.
