Freeze! Don't click on that celebrity porn
IF YOU get a file on your computer promising you risque pictures of actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, take a deep breath - and trash it.
It may well be a new computer worm, the Igloo, which is beginning to make the rounds.
According to Sophos, a corporate anti-virus company, users of the KaZaA file-sharing system and IRC instant messaging are duped into opening a file that contains compromising pictures of Zeta-Jones and other sexy celebrities, such as Britney Spears, Shakira and Sarah Michelle Gellar.
If a user succumbs to base instinct and opens the file, the Igloo worm - a backdoor Trojan horse that allows another user to take control of their PC across the Net - is activated.
Mr Charles Cousins, managing director of Sophos Anti-Virus Asia, said: 'It is ironic that supposed photos of Catherine Zeta-Jones are being used when she's in the courts fighting Hello! magazine over the publication of unauthorised snaps.
'We all know the saying that curiosity killed the cat. In this case, the user is likely to be the one who gets compromised.'
More details of the Igloo worm are available at www.sophos.com
