the first song that got me into metal has to be Enter Sandman...hooked into the riffs..then i learnt about Metallica..then hooked to Leper Messiah, Nothing Else Matters, Fade to Black..then i began to notice more about instrumental/technical metal such as Dream Theater..and thats where the passion caves in.. Jamming to the tunes of Overture 1928 and Ocatvarium...
I dun belong to a specific group of Metal listeners..im an all rounder..i listen to trash, gothic, fable, progressive, black, doom, industrial, death,folk and neo classical.. -

Actually i was hooked on to linkin park, then i found... Master Of Puppets by Metallica! Then i fell into Iron Maiden's Hallowed Be Thy Name and Fear Of The Dark.
But I concentrated on Metallica, i think my 1st Metal album was ...And Justice For All.
Soon after i discovered Hammerfall, wich led me into a deep understanding of metal.
Hammerfall also helped me find my roots in Power Metal.
Im like Master-.-, no spacific genres. Im into Power Metal, Trash Metal, Heavy Metal and sometimes Speed Metal and Progressive Metal.
BUT i am anti Nu-metal and Rap-core..... I wonder what sick made people do those genres.

Metallica's Enter sandman ... It's played over and over at the radio and my cousin's house ...
I'm also like Master-_- , I dun only listen to a specific sub-genre ... I listen to genres such as Heavy metal , Thrash , Power , Progressive , Groove , Alternative and some Death metal , worthy ones such as Necrophagist , Nile , Cryptopsy etc just to name a few ... I feel that some post-hardcore (not to be mistaken as emo) are good -

The earliest metal that I listened to is Linkin park but not sure if that qualifies as metal as it's nu-metal. Was a fan of nu-metal anyway till i reached 17 and thought it sucked.
Then I moved on to alternative rock and after a year I was into post-hardcore, you may think it's trash but I dun care, I still like it. Then I got my hands on Metalcore. And then about several months I listened to Black and Death Metal, liked the sound particularly Black Metal and got kinda stuck to it ever since. -

i dun remb what was the first classic rock song i listened but basically classic rock got me into metal....
wanted to suss out more classic rock bands and that led me to metallica, queensryche, scorpion....
then i heard HIM and got me to nightwish, cof, within temptation....now i prefer those melodic, pop metal....like leaves eyes, angtoria, sentenced... -
