maybe they afraid u have limited patience, then giving up baking soon after u find it is hardOriginally posted by browniebaobao:im still trying to convince my mum and sis to let me get an oven, so that I can bake....

not that..Originally posted by Kenashi:maybe they afraid u have limited patience, then giving up baking soon after u find it is hard
the best way is to go take up some real baking courses n learn the art first, then bring some of yr finished products home for them to try, it will help persuade them

perhaps you can try those

to love and be loved.Originally posted by necrolyt3:Life is sad. More often than not, we break the hearts of people who love us wholeheartedly. When we finally found someone we love, we convince ourselves it's fate. Everything is so nice so heavenly. But the truth is, the love we get from the people we love, may not be greater than the love of the hearts we broke.
That's why im always upset when i see people divorce. it's not 2 broken hearts that are involved. It involves the previous hearts of those who yearn but cannot be with you.
To love or to be loveD?
perhaps bcos there's no free lunch?Originally posted by Mid9Sun:Hmm while the story is very touching and all...but cant help but ponders...
Why God would demand such a sacrifice from the poor boy???
If God wants to let the girl lives..He can do so without having the need to let the boy suffer for the rest of his life.
It makes God such a mercanary / trader ..fancy demanding a payment in return for a miracle...why cant He just let the couple have a happy ending if He's being "moved"
becos there is no such thing as a GODOriginally posted by Mid9Sun:Hmm while the story is very touching and all...but cant help but ponders...

If its that simple, then it would have been better for the person who felt that way.Originally posted by Kenashi:i think for the part where the boy choose to remain as a dragonfly is to give the gal happiness.
what's the point of reappearing in front of the gal, tell her that he still love her, force her to make a choice btw her hubby or him??
tell her that he has been the dragonfly for her sake for the past 3 yrs, make her feel guilty??
that's selfless love. too bad, most ppl prefer selfish love
sometimes, when love dies, so does ones' will to continue his normal way of life.
i think most ppl will choose to move on, if the person u love can leave u w/o a word, maybe he/she aint the one for u.
You can also see it this way: God wanted him to see that besides the test of their love and faith in each other, He wanted to see how deep is the guy's convictions and faith in her and his love for her that he is willing to sacrifice so much just for her happiness and safety. He also wanted to let the guy know that should God let the gal lives using His powers, then everybody will ask God for such miracles in the future and humanity won't grow in character and spirit as they will ask God for everything possible.Originally posted by Mid9Sun:Hmm while the story is very touching and all...but cant help but ponders...

becos life is basically much simpler.Originally posted by Bontakun:If its that simple, then it would have been better for the person who felt that way.
You know the short korean skit where this guy loved this gal, then this gal got into an accident and lost her eyesight. The guy gave his eyes to her and left her. The gal recovered her eyesight but was hurt not seeing the guy. She thought he left her. One fine day she bumped into a blind man and she noted that the blind man was the guy she so loved. You get wat I meant when I used this as an example?
What I would have prefered that guy (but its my preference lah...) is to return to human form and instead of wallowing in pity and self-hurt, use his compassion and human feelings to help other people, especially those with love issues and such. To help them and more.

heart pain si.. no one would want a loved one to make such a big sacrifice for him/her ba.
What's the use of giving her his eyes when he wun ever get to see her again?
At least we can hope. At least there are a few minority who really do as they promise and more. These are the ones who inspire us alot and give us inspirations. Nevermind the so many quarrels and break ups you seen, don't you want to see some hope once in a while to believe there are some things good worth cherishing and fighting for? Hope and purpose.Originally posted by Kenashi:becos life is basically much simpler.
those self sacrificing love normally happen in the movies
i seen too many breakups n quarrels to know that
a lot of guys can promise the moon to the gal they fancy, but when it is time to cash in their promise, it is another matter all together.
What is the use of giving his/her heart in the first place if he/she is unable to love her/him wholeheartedly in the first place?Originally posted by browniebaobao:KISS...
