Life is sad. More often than not, we break the hearts of people who love us wholeheartedly. When we finally found someone we love, we convince ourselves it's fate. Everything is so nice so heavenly. But the truth is, the love we get from the people we love, may not be greater than the love of the hearts we broke.
That's why im always upset when i see people divorce. it's not 2 broken hearts that are involved. It involves the previous hearts of those who yearn but cannot be with you.

Hmm while the story is very touching and all...but cant help but ponders...
Why God would demand such a sacrifice from the poor boy???
If God wants to let the girl lives..He can do so without having the need to let the boy suffer for the rest of his life.
It makes God such a mercanary / trader ..fancy demanding a payment in return for a miracle...why cant He just let the couple have a happy ending if He's being "moved" -

You know the short korean skit where this guy loved this gal, then this gal got into an accident and lost her eyesight. The guy gave his eyes to her and left her. The gal recovered her eyesight but was hurt not seeing the guy. She thought he left her. One fine day she bumped into a blind man and she noted that the blind man was the guy she so loved. You get wat I meant when I used this as an example?
What I would have prefered that guy (but its my preference lah...) is to return to human form and instead of wallowing in pity and self-hurt, use his compassion and human feelings to help other people, especially those with love issues and such. To help them and more. -
You can also see it this way: God wanted him to see that besides the test of their love and faith in each other, He wanted to see how deep is the guy's convictions and faith in her and his love for her that he is willing to sacrifice so much just for her happiness and safety. i seen too many breakups n quarrels to know that
a lot of guys can promise the moon to the gal they fancy, but when it is time to cash in their promise, it is another matter all together. -

At least we can hope. At least there are a few minority who really do as they promise and more. These are the ones who inspire us alot and give us inspirations. Nevermind the so many quarrels and break ups you seen, don't you want to see some hope once in a while to believe there are some things good worth cherishing and fighting for? Besides, 'seeing' her/him is only a matter of perspective. You can still see with your heart, soul and mind. You can touch, hear, smell, feel.
True, no one want a loved one to make such a big sacrifice, but then I always remember in some shows or testimonies from friends when they were asked by their partner, "How much do you love me? How much would you sacrifice for me?"
They find it contradicting and a paradox to answer in words. If your partner answer you, "I would die for you." Most likely you would not accept it 100%, right? They always show it in actions to justify their love for the person. Minor things like picking out bones from fishes to tasting their first baked cake to crossing the road where the person is in the direction of the oncoming traffic, shielding you from the vehicles should there be an accident. Some even contemplated the bigger sacrifices: protecting them from harm and giving their kidney or blood transfusion or in this case - giving their cornea.
The ultimate one is of course giving their lives for the one they loved. The biggest testimony their loved ones can get from them. I am still trying to consider the bigger sacrifices are more than enough justified compared to my selfishness and even the ultimate one. For the benefit of the people around me should I give my life for them.
We will see the pain that comes with loving another person. No love is ALL sweet and cuddly. That is only one side of the coin. Understanding both sides of the coin will help us gain better knowledge of love and to fully grasp the value of love and happiness.
How can you taste love without knowing what is bitterness, sorrow and hate?
