Why is the wedding ring always on the 4th finger?

  I always thought that
  thumb is for sucking good taste
  1st finger is for pointing at people
  2nd finger very rude when pointed
  3rd finger seldom use
  last finger for dicking nose.
  
  That why 3rd finger was choosen to put on wedding ring.

  hmm...i remb reading some where its becoz...tt there is a vein on the 4th finger tt leads to the heart...therefore, wearin ring on 4th finger symbolizes 'love to the core(heart)- deep love'

  It's the same thing if you do it on one hand.
  
  Bend the middle finger and rest the entire hand on a table or something.
  
  Try to lift up the finger between the pinky and middle fingers.
