More over, what do you define real and the un-real?
Initial D is a Sport as well as a game.
So is Karting.
I'm sure you may say that playing these computer simulator is childish and un real, but have you really thought of what you are doing is really mature and real?
What we do seriously, means we have a passion for it, and we have got prides and dignity to defend.
When you are serious in something, it has not become something childish, but a passion.
So plz define childish in this.
And for the Argument and Challenge, its human nature.
Each and everyone of you would have challenge someone with a equal amount of passion in the sports you play or strive in.
And this can be seen in the Competition like Inter sch matches, inter class...etc.

i agree that it is a game but i disagree strongly that it is a sport. in that i think thats where u are confused. -

What is a true level of sports? Pool is a sport, and i dare say the physical exertion is nowhere near basketballs or soccer or even polo.
And it is less then the level of Initial D.
Does the Risk of getting injured makes it a sport ?

the truth is, its just a game, its an arcade game, its the ppl who play it who delude themselves into thinking its a sport. nothing played on computers is ever a sport. if u wanna call it a sport, then foruming is a sport because u need good lang skills, and it certainly can be a physical exertion for your fingers. see the point? -
suddenly, by your defination, marbles, catching, monkey, hopscotch, 5 stones, all become sports! wow IOC gonna be busy liao.
if i like initial D, i like it as a game. thats the whole point i like about it! as my racing coach said, its a low cost, high hopes game. its played for enjoyment n relaxation from racing in real life. its for laughs, for fun, and a real hoot when i play with my fellow racing buddies. but the moment u ppl try to turn it into something serious, turn it into a sport, it simply becomes repungent. so the whole point is, stop taking the fun out of the game and taking the game out of the fun!

remember, catching, marbles, hopscotch, pepsi cola 123, 5 stone all become sports also. all need skills, got physical exertion, and also played very competitively leh. play marbles can win more marbles n also sweets one leh. got very high stakes wor. -

and ready to deal with the rules and regulation governing the Sport.

Aww... not another debate?! Hey guys, seriously speaking this thread is about an official challenge not some debate. So if you wanna debate do it elsewhere. Sorry if I sound offensive, HENG@ and Sekundes. But let's not go off topic here. This topic is already heated up and let's not make it worse. So just cool off, and wait for the news.
Meanwhile, why not plan a gathering to meet up with these regulars, apart from the one that is coming up soon, rather than argue over trival things. Remember that some foreigners may also visit these forums. And we don't want them to see how heated up this forum is so heated up with minor arguments instead of sharing views, experience and providing help to newbies. So let's not think to much about this anymore and just relax and enjoy the game shall we?
