yah yah... have to agree.... is there anywhere to beat GDBs..... i tried iro and it works.... thats the only map i noe can help me beat....... any others????Originally posted by Impreza WRX:GDB's got 6 gears so initial startup should be very good. But I think GC8V is better than GDB in terms of cornering. Anyway GC8V is personally modified by Bunta, don't play play ah.![]()

Brake and turn not good way for 4WD. Slow down too much. Should be accelerating and turning.Originally posted by bismarck:akagi for most turns do it ard 115 to 125 kmh...
of course...take the outer lane then turn at the apex....full turn hor...
shld clear..
btw brake and turn at the same time
Brake during the turn? it's alright for my R34.. i release my accel before the turn, brake then steer in and then brake somemore during the turn if it is tight..then i step back on the accel when i feel i will clear the corner without eatting wall. The amount which the brake is depressed, how much the wheel is turned, when to step back the accel, is all based on feel and experience on that particular corner. After a while, it comes like second nature. For the pros, they don't even have to think. For the MR cars, braking later than normal is the way to go because of their oversteering properties. I'm not too sure about FF cars as well.Originally posted by Impreza WRX:Brake and turn not good way for 4WD. Slow down too much. Should be accelerating and turning.
Brake and turn is alright for RWD. Did this for MR-S and found it to be effective. Not sure about FWD.
I guess maybe R34 is different. But I do feel brake and turn for GC8V is too slow. Furthermore it drops engine power too much because if speed too low, it becomes the wheels that drive the engine. For me, I follow computer way of turning. Brake first before corner, turn and accelerate (how much depend on turn). Besides stepping on brakes causes loss in traction (step more, traction loss more). If you're going down a straight road, it doesn't matter. But if you're turning and you accidentally brake too much, you'll swing out into the side.Originally posted by HIRA:Brake during the turn? it's alright for my R34.. i release my accel before the turn, brake then steer in and then brake somemore during the turn if it is tight..then i step back on the accel when i feel i will clear the corner without eatting wall. It is quite easy lor...you play the same type of car in automatic gear and you just take down the shifting points. That way, you can shift your manual gear exactly the same as the way the automatic gear shifts. I have tried this in Ver2 and it works. I have tried it in Ver3 as well but on an RX-8. I think the shifting points are 2>6000rpm, 3>6500rpm, 4>6500rpm, 5>7250rpm, 6>7250rpm.
Try it for yourselves and share it. And Happy Chinese New Year!
