i agree with u 4.7 of wrx or evo i can recall of what u said ytd in irc...but all i want u to know is...cars imported from overseas to singapore market have to be powercut and max is 180km/hr due to LAW & Traffic police...u can make ur car UN-powercut means illegally un-powercut...but when u do that u go for VICOM or LTA vehicle inspection they will fine u or confiscate ur car...remember this is Singapore...overseas car and singapore car = big difference...when u get your license or read up over in traffic police laws rules u know it all...and powercut sucks =( but alot of ppl out there un-powercut their engines...and when come to 0-100km/hr WRX wins and WRX 0-100km/hr win most car unless is ferrari , posh or americans bulldogs if u dun know what americans bulldogs they are...corvette , bmw or lambo by the way...another info is...overseas WRX has 6 speed gears + 1 gear reverse gear total main gears 7 but in singapore...its 5 speed gear + 1 reverse and the lost of 1 gear is due to powercut...

but that is due to Japanese legisation, not Singapore's LTA laws. My dad's Airtrek Turbo R speedo only reads up to 180. I know for sure that the Celice SS-II is also limited to 180km/h. But what limits them is a speed limiter, which reads the speed at the wheels and cuts out the power when it reaches 180km/h. It DOES NOT intefere with acceleration. But yes you were right about the speed limit, but it applys only to japanese domestic models. I have witnessed 2 European cars unmoddified going over 200km/h. I did some checking up on it. So I think we were both right to a certain extent yah?
And BMW and Lamborghini aren't American bulldogs. BMW is German and Lamborghini is Italian.

Oh and the Civic SIR is also limted but not to 180.. I think it's 170 b4 the spd limiter cuts in... But i dun think the Evo and the WRX is limited right?

And oh I know u love WRX ah... but the fact is the standard WRX 0-100km/h(5.7s) is a full second slower than the EVO 8. Unless you are talking about the STi(4.8s)... which is still a tenth slower and which is more accurately compared to the EVO8 FQ300 whose 0-100km/h is about 4.2s instead of the 4.7s of the standard EVO8.

sorry..post late..but all jdm(japanese domestic models) cars,their speedometers are limited to 180km/h only..and..american bulldogs are ford cobra,doge vipers,corvette camaro 69,corvette firebirds etc.etc....yup...
