I'm a proud owner of a GC8V named .XXX. I just started tis car and i quite lyk the engine sound and the straight road acceleration...If u c this car and if u own a Subaru just come up to me and sae "HI"... MAybe the subaru owners should list their timings here.... My GC8v for akagi is 2"25 and for akina is 3min... There is one time i used my fren's GC8 named cramp I broke his record for akina and gt 2"59'051.. I was damn happy abt it....

well , the best map i am @ is Akagi , lol....timing is around 2.2x too.....

how good is gc8v fully tuned?
and how can u all bear with the farting sound it's disgusting and RL subaru sounds much better

I'm not sure how to answer your question about it being fully tuned. Do you mean compared against other cars or when you just buy the GC8V? If comparing against itself when new and when fully tuned, the difference isn't really much. I remember in Myogi when I just buy the car top speed I can reach is about 202. Fully tuned top speed in Myogi is 205. The good thing is the acceleration but the bad thing is its difficulty in getting to its top (which is quite low) speed.Originally posted by B|itz:Hey got a question for u....

If compared against other cars, it's not too bad. Initial acceleration allows you to take the lead. Bad thing is that you'll still lose against those cars at their home tracks like Capp in Akina and DC2 in Happ and Iro. I find the GC8V to be quite good in wet conditions. Actually my timings are actually better in wet than in dry.
In Myogi, dry timing is 2.56, wet timing is 3.00 (right). Not the best against those home cars but still quite good against the others, I think. Fastest I seen is 2.59 wet for Capp.
About the sound, I quite like it and I don't think it sounds like a farting noise. It's quite distinct though and when you reach about 170 the noise changes slightly. -

Just thought I might add a little bit more, GC8V fully tuned is pretty nice and smooth to handle. As for handling turns, it's better to enter slow (to prevent from hitting into the barrier) and accelerate during the turn and come out fast. If you can go in fast and come out even faster, then better still. Some turns use brake better and some turns just release accelerator halfway. Usui is a good example, for the big turn, just have the accelerator at half, turn gradually and should be able to clear at least 175. For Myogi, it's better to tap the brake than to release the accelerator.
The GC8V also cannot take a hit even a small one. If you do hit, you'll feel like this car suddenly no power for a very long time. -
hehe , i still like my GC8 , handles well enough for me......Speed and acceleration are also to my liking.

Once you manage this, try using the brakes as well. It allows you to go closer to the turn at a higher speed and still take the turn properly. Try not to full lock the steering wheel. well , tried usui @ the direction of the Altezza , went quite ok wif me , time was 3.02 i think......was it ok?
