OH NO!!! NOT KEK SEH KIA!!!Originally posted by AE86tofu:well basically i have these 3 cars but i just dun know which one is worth training or worth ditching cos frankly speaking i like all of them.... anyone can care 2 tell me the strenghts and weaknesses of the cars???
sorry.... my fren here knows not how to count.......and er, hes playing ver2Originally posted by Lonely^Driver:4 cars you mean?
Bascially I will recommend try to use the AE86 1st. Once you get the hang of the characteristic of this car, the rest of the car will come easy to drive(that's my personal experience) as AE86 is not a easy car to master.
Also since you have already got the card for the rest of the car(You are playing the arcade I presume), can also play around with them so that you can get the hang of driving different cars.
Just my humble opinions.

I don't know about you.... but well ok the 4WD cars r definately much faster.....Originally posted by Impreza WRX:My car of choice is the Impreza WRX Type R. I have tried the AE86 and Capp but I just can't seem to control these 2 cars well. I guess I played too long with the WRX.
Anyway the strength of the WRX is in its pickup from start. Its first 3 gears are very strong and allow you to take the lead all the time against human players unless you knock around at the start. Also it has good acceleration in the higher gears only if you do not take any knocks even minor ones. It is also pretty easy to handle. The bad points is that it cannot be modified through parts change. Its course has been set so there is no room for customization. The WRX also has a hard time trying to reach its top speed and I think the top speed is only 205. I have not been able to go past that.
4WD will be faster in terms of initial acceleration but usually will lose out in terms of top speed. If you get a RX and a WRX or EVO on a straight road, you'll see that the 4WD will speed out first and then at about 3 - 4th gear, the RX will start to catch up.Originally posted by HENG@:I don't know about you.... but well ok the 4WD cars r definately much faster.....
but when it comes to the evo vs wrx competition, i feel that the evo still wins......
just wondering.... whats the top u can go thru myogi's THAT only corner which u need to brake for with the wrx?
whats the points of your car? n level?Originally posted by Impreza WRX:4WD will be faster in terms of initial acceleration but usually will lose out in terms of top speed. EVO vs WRX. I feel it's more on personal preference.
For Myogi's turn, I can't remember which is for which side but for one side the WRX can turn at 201 and for the other side 199 without touching the mountain. Not too sure but I think it can be a little bit faster.

Hard to control..... meaning? Drift alot? Slow in picking up speed? Ummm... actually if play more with this car, should have no problem controling the car well. Just have to get used to it.Originally posted by AE86tofu:But i just find tt the new AE101 engine is a bit hard to control... handling-wise the car is well balanced...just as the s2k.. only tt the s2k is a bit harder 2 drift
I have about 2.4 million on this WRX. I'm not sure which level you mean but my battle level is 11 and my player level is 23 (stars on card).Originally posted by HENG@:whats the points of your car? n level?
ah icic...... ok.... my cornering speed for myogi both ways is 195km/h for my evo4....... points still quite low......Originally posted by Impreza WRX:I have about 2.4 million on this WRX. I'm not sure which level you mean but my battle level is 11 and my player level is 23 (stars on card).
I mean the engine.... the powerband is wierd.... dunno which range where the full power comes out... all i know tt it's a high-rpm powerband engine........Originally posted by Lonely^Driver:Hard to control..... meaning? As for the S2000, Try play Myogi(1st track) and u will actually find that it's more drifty than the AE86.
For the RPM, usually I will change gear once the needle exceeds 11K slighty. If you realise, once you kiss the walls or something, the needle will be "stuck" at the 10K range... That explains there's no power so the crux is try not to bang/kiss any walls.Originally posted by AE86tofu:I mean the engine.... the powerband is wierd.... dunno which range where the full power comes out... all i know tt it's a high-rpm powerband engine........
That's why at times you have to light brake to store power in your drive, so eg when you exit a corner you will be able to rev up with those stored power.Originally posted by Lonely^Driver:For the RPM, usually I will change gear once the needle exceeds 11K slighty. I don't think the battle or player level will affect your car in any way. Also I don't think excess points past 990k (full tune) do anything extra to your car either. Haven't tried EVO4 but I did try EVO7. At full tune, I did get 198 - 199 for the 2 turns at Myogi. But I didn't really play with the EVO7 after 990k as I still like the look of the WRX.Originally posted by HENG@:ah icic...... ok.... my cornering speed for myogi both ways is 195km/h for my evo4....... points still quite low......
battle level only 5 and player level only 8 stars
no i think it would.... that indicates a lower level of tune mah........ my evo is very lowly tuned.......... oh haha.... u know the clip of the cappucino doing the 180 drift? it can be done.... ask AE86tofu.... i did it yesterday with his cappucino!!! hahaOriginally posted by Impreza WRX:I don't think the battle or player level will affect your car in any way. What about your cornering speeds for Usui?
Lower points would indicate a lower level of tune but once your points go past 990k, your car is fully tuned and further points do nothing unless you use it for parts change. Anyway I don't really believe that the more points or higher level means that the car is more super. It helps if your car is fully tuned but still it is basically your skill. I have seen this middle aged man (about 45, I think) using a RX always playing Myogi. His cornering speed is 199 and his points is about 150k, I can still see the tuning notice for 165k.Originally posted by HENG@:no i think it would.... that indicates a lower level of tune mah........ my evo is very lowly tuned.......... oh haha.... u know the clip of the cappucino doing the 180 drift? it can be done.... ask AE86tofu.... i did it yesterday with his cappucino!!! haha
okok... but i still cannot pick up my speed as fast as the full tune cars.... why ah? and the top speed very low.... 206 then top out liao.......... I see other ppl full tune the speed gp up to 220?Originally posted by Impreza WRX:Lower points would indicate a lower level of tune but once your points go past 990k, your car is fully tuned and further points do nothing unless you use it for parts change. From this uncle, I think it would depend on how well you know the car you are driving. There are a few other uncles I have seen playing very well but they all seem to like the EVO series.
4WD usually have low top speeds. While driving the WRX I have never seen the speed go higher than 205. This is the bad thing for 4WD although 4WD have better acceleration over all the tracks due to 4 driving wheels instead of 2.Originally posted by HENG@:okok... but i still cannot pick up my speed as fast as the full tune cars.... why ah? and the top speed very low.... 206 then top out liao.......... dunno leh..... see b4 full tune DC2 at 220km/h.... cappu at 21something also.......... even evo i see b4 210....... if top speed higher it will sure cut down the timing becos myogi is a high speed track.... lose time here n u r screwedOriginally posted by Impreza WRX:4WD usually have low top speeds. I do not think it is possible for the speed to go up to 220 except for 'Boost On' for challenge matches. I got 221 for Boost On while challenging my friend in Myogi. But ended up crashing into the barriers as too fast and cannot control. The fastest I have seen for story or time attack mode is 212 by the AE86.
