well sometimes when i play against someone on the Arcade that some ppl tend to bang u right at the start and he just fly off faster then u... anyway to counter that move?

well one way to counter is to not accelerate immediately when the race starts...let him go first for a bit then drive as per normal
another way is to use boost on, but i dunno if you are able to catch up anot...
usually i jus let the person go first, then i try to overtake later on. i've won in some occasions using this method.

To counter this, when you see your advantage meter is white in colour, overtake him and make his car behind you, and he will be about 4.5 - 5m behind. If he's acceleration is faster, then i think you can't do anything about it.

Naniokore is right to let them go first but that is provided you are able to overtake your opponent and that you know he's going to ram you right away.
What you can also try is when he starts to touch your car, counter steer against his car to offer resistance. If he increases his force against your car, brake suddenly and hope he crashes into the barrier. -
