Akagi Uphill Strategy. Left to RightThe homeground of
RedSun in the Anime. This is the best course for the Mazda FD/FC. If you are going uphill and against Takahashi Keisuke, you should be using 4th gear most of the time until your speed reaches 145km/h, then you will change it to 5th gear. For the first few hairpins, you will be using 4th gear to turn. Releasing the accelerator will give you more grip while drifting. The rest will be up to you, for a few sharper hairpins, try to decrease your speed by down shifting or braking. For most of the turns, i release my accelerator pedal.
Tips: Remember to do the out-in-out rule for the turns.. so that you can turn at a higher speed and save you a few milli seconds.
