Cos i work in Jack Place b4...ppl reserve one will have get the space 1st n if u din bk or wat u got to wait n wait till ard 9 ++...
and ppl come n eat n go...no one stay more den 1 hr... unless u r the last crowd loh...
really man trust me...even if u wan to stay the waitress n manager will try means and ways to throw u out of the restarant...they serve food VERY fast too!!!

Juz contributing some suggestion...there's a French restaurant @ Suntec basement called Maison Basque. They have Christmas set meal but is around $50 excluding 10% service charge, 1% cess n 3% GST. But they have another set meal which cost only $23 including 10% service charge, 1% cess n 3% GST. The set meal includes appetizer, main coz, dessert n coffee/tea.
Me n Maggie have been there 2 eat a few times n we think the food n atmosphere there is quite gd.
