Middlesbrough midfielder Juninho has revealed that the World Cup wondergoal scored by his Brazilian team-mate Ronaldinho against England was indeed a fluke.
opsssssEngland goalkeeper David Seaman was left in tears after watching a 35-yard freekick sail over his head for the winning goal in last summer's quarter-final.
But Juninho told The Independent newspaper that Ronaldinho had admitted in the dressing room after the game that he mishit the shot.
'He said he tried to put the ball in the opposite angle to where it went, the other corner,' Juninho said.
'He mis-hit it. In the end it was lucky. In football you have to be lucky sometimes.
Brazil went on to win the World Cup for a record fifth time, beating Germany 2-0 in the final.
