New Venue for new season league

Here are the info I gathered from Cathay Bowl..........
Parking shouldnt be a problem as there are 2 car park next to the building. The one on the right is free on sunday and the one in front is charging at $2 per entry.
Rate - for walk in public, the rate is abt $4 but according to Chee Meng(person in charge) he will be giving us $3.4 per game for at least 6 bowlers per session and $3-$3.2 for at least 10 bowlers per session.
Privilege card holder - We are invited to join their foursome league which is on every Thursday night at 8pm. Anyone who joined the league will be entitled to sign up for the Privilege card at a small fee and rate for bowling will also be at a privilege price of $2.8 per game. Further details will have to check up with Chee Meng again.
Oil pattern - Christmas tree.
Fellow PinStrikers, all in all, there is not much difference in the rate we'll be getting if we switched to Cathy bowl. The only challenge will be the different kind of lane condition we will be adapting to.

I actually welcome a change in venue... I mean, how badly can it affect my bowling?
... but VHK did bring up a valid point that it's not as accessible as Jackies. -
I am definitely looking forward to a change in venue, lane condition, environment etc.
Where is the Cathay Bowl located? Price and parking sounds ok. Are we doing it at the new place this coming new season?

Well, looks like it's back to Jackies for this season... But there's no sense in rushing a change of venue... Will look forward to the change next season... VHK, keep us updated...

I am looking forward to bowling at Victor's Bowl. Wonder if we can get good rates.
Hope we can link up with some "friendly" staff at Victor's like what we did at Jackie's with Uncle Johnny. It will really help us in getting things done when something goes wrong or when we have some request.....hhhhmmm. The staff at Victor's used to be very rude and unapproachable. Anyone remember that??? Hope that things have changed for the better.
In any case, higher costs will definitely be incurred when we start playing there with parking fees, more expensive games etc. Nevetheless, I think we will enjoy ourselves at our new "homeground" . I think their pro shop is really cool....very professional.....foresee the "birth" of my 2nd ball from that place. -

Anyway, I definitely am not expecting any "friendly" service based on our past experiences. If you're going to use Jackies as a benchmark, then I believe you're gonna be consistently disappointed!
However, the change will be good I guess... Like I said, at the rate I'm going, any change will be good for me... -
Hmmm... looks like Victors is out as well... VHK, as competition director, looks like there's more work for you...
Two other places that have come up are Superbowl Marina and Silver Bowl... I have no objection to both... As we have discussed yesterday, one of the main criteria is that we should be able to book permanently book lanes easily... -
If we are interested in Superbowl, maybe either me and Russ can attempt to "rekindle" our membership with them. We are just slightly overdue for about 1-2 months?
