Shadow, dun be disappointed. High chance of playing at the St Wilfred field next month. Already notified referee already. He will be calling me upon confirmation. It will be a Sun 9am game. Hopefully, you can cross the ball at the field this time round . Surprisingly, he still remember us beating the "Liverpool wanna-be" at Yishun Ring field. He remembered us as the "Red Team". Must be our outstanding and dashing jerseys + "Heskey" + F4 (Baracuda, Jimmy, Jeremy & Colin??) hahaha...just kidding lahh. -

Similiar to my suggestion to Havoline on his match reports, I suggest you open a thread on game schedules where we can all refer to for coming matches... much neater that way. Just a suggestion.

Robin, I have arranged for two games on 9th and 16th Feb. Please note that the game on 9th will be an afternoon game and the venue is not confirmed yet.
The 16th game will kick-off at 0930 and we are providing the refree. It will be an away game at SIA sports club(Changi Village). I can hear the groans from half the team already If it is any consolation, it is supposed to be a good pitch. -

guys, juz wanna clarify wat's your stand on evening games? izit still possible to arrange evening games even when your bowling season is still ongoing?

Baracuda, good to hear about the 2 games that you have arranged for The Reds. I think the venue is fine with us as we have a couple of vehicles in our team. We can "whack" some nice Malay food at Changi Village after the game . However, I'm abit suspicious about Havoline's excitement in his "I love it" statement, considering the nite activities in the area, I wonder about his possible "love" activities ...hehehe.
Hopefully, the 1819 guys will be "sober" for the games if you know what I mean.
Khai, I love to play evening/nite games, seldom missing those games when my church team has that time slot. The only concern is the high price for each game. Market rate is about $150-$180 per team, double the normal price that we pay for the day games. About an additional $100/- bucks for turning on the flood lights 
. Well, I see the possibilities of our team going towards that direction of having occasional nite games when all of you graduate and start working, got more cash.
Anyway, I have told Jimmy to start sourcing for our away jerseys in his next trip to Thailand
. Should cost between S$10-S$12/- per piece. Probably white in color. Jimmy informed that we should have a couple of good options for the cheap price that we are paying. -

the reason i asked is bcoz edmund would like the return game with us to be held at nanyang poly...1 of their players is a lecturer there so getting the field and flood lights shld not be a problem. but he did mention playing in the evening.. -

Hmmm... I always thought the main reason why we never arranged an evening game was because we did not want to disrupt everybody's schedule unnecessarily... Anyway, it would be good to highlight any such games early so that the team can make their necessary arrangements to their schedules.

Sounds good Havoline, you can tie things up with our manager... We should keep the momentum going... I have to say that some of us (me included) looked rusty in the last match, although we only took a break for one weekend... Yeah,we have to keep the momentum going,more due to the fact that soccer is the only exercise most of us actually do,so fitness drops very fast when there is a break.
