It would be good if everybody could come earlier, but not later than 0900hrs. This way, we've got enough time to change, go toilet, stretch, kick a few balls and then have a quick briefing on roles and tactics. Obviously, the briefing will be conducted by our manager...

Kai, with the inclusion of Boon, Alvin Chia and Jason, we have more than enough strikers. On the other hand, we have no one to play the left mid role. I believe Robin's decision is based on these considerations.Originally posted by kai28:robin,not so keen on pulling russ back to midfield.

Brothers, Good to see so much feedback especially from Charles (wat a nick!!
). Russ is right. Wywy, we will only be a complete team when you are back. Hope you are recovering well from the recent events. Since we are not seeing so much of you (physically), we hope to see much of your participation in here.
Khai & Charles, I am also reluctant to pull Russ back but he is more of a "utility" player than some of us who can only play well in certain positions. I certainly hope that our other strikers are able to prove themselves that they can score too. I am still trying to pinpoint the potential of some of our new players. Eventhough Russ is back in midfield for the next game, he can continue to "up his points" by scoring from that position.
I'm in quite a bit of dilema in fielding players for certain positions. Pls bear with me. If I dun try, I won't know. Collecting our jerseys today, can't wait. -

was just thinking that we shouldn't have too many changes from one game to another coz it would only disrupt our game.
btw robin, alvin chia has told me that he is also comfortable on the left and boon can play on the right as well. these are the positions they can play in apart from striker. -

I have to say that not only did our team play well today, we looked real good in our new kit as well...
Our keeper and defence were steady (opponents didn't have many chances) and our midfield were making good plays. I'm not trying to be humble (ask Damien, I'm not ) but our attack should have put away more goals, looking at the number of chances we had. We were definitely more organised today.
I still can't get over the fact that had I made just one more of the many chances count, we would have won the game...
I guess I need to improve on my finishing...
Nevertheless, good game guys! I see good things coming out from this team. -
yup...probably the best game you guys played so far
as least we didn't totally lose the 2nd half as per the previous games..
jeremy man-of-the-match...charles was brilliant too. -
My views:
1. Keeper was sound....excellent. Good feedback from him but needs to maintain his cool.
2. Defenders played well but need to work on communication.
3. Midfielders have to improve. Must have more contention, presence and "geling" in the midfield area. I hope to see more hard work to go for every ball. Being midfielders are not easy but that's part of the role. Even though we are playing by the wings, they should not be drifting too far out when the ball is STILL being played at our half. Derick fitted in beautifully, bringing many chances thru the left and yet defending against the opponent's right mid. He just need time to get back his fitness.
I agree that the main focus for wingers is to play the ball by the flanks but we dun have the kind of players to solely support that kind of play. Alternative is to have the wingers doubling up more in the midfield area. I see the same things as Colin and totally support his point of view about our midfield. Personally, I am trying my very best to improve in my center mid position, especially feeding the flanks.....right now, it's usually Russell

I juz want to affirm that the defence played well in the game. You guys are doing a wonderful job. The goal they scored was purely one of those.....what I call...... "Ping-ball type" . It all happened quite fast. If you ask me, I would say it's one of a freak chance that they got.
Charles, dun paiseh lahhh, shout at the other defender if you have to. Can see that both you and Jem are "geling" better and better. Keep up the great stuff. In the meantime, remember it's MASSAGE time. By the way, thanx for getting Derrick. I think he is a great "asset " to the team. I'm certain that the Shadow Master agrees with me. Can somebody tell me where the hell is Damien?!@# Oooppss ......I forgot....he is "busy".....hehehe -
Hi all, its Ian here. this is my first posting. I really proud to be playing for this team and is really sorry for the last min thingie in the tanglin field match. The last match was the best i have seen the team play, but i do feel the team has much more to offer with the given potential and depth. I was pretty disappted wif my own performance after not having touch the ball for more than 3 weeks. Thanks to Jeremy and Charles for their contribution in providing the defensive cover. They have inpired a strive to improve for the next match. Cheers !

which kind of worries me..looks like i'll have a hard time trying to get back a place in the starting line-up.. -
Brothers, dun you worry about being in the starting line-up. As long as the management of this team is concern, I promise all of you to have a fair share of the game no matter how good you are. When you dun start this week, you will start in the following week. The subs will come into the game in good time to make sure we have some "fresh" players to boost up the team. There is a place for everybody. We love the game and I dare say that we are all equally committed to have started this all the way from the basketball court. Ian, good to see ya in here.

Just a few words to say abt our last match....good to have Colin around coz i dun have to take anymore goalkicks
I personally am extremely delighted with the progress of our team,i feel that we are moulding towards a brighter future.Robin has mentioned most of the stuff i wanted to say....dun worry boss...i promise that the defence will buck up on our communication as we get to know each other better.With Charles back as last man,the defence has been strengthened to say the least and i feel more comfortable which means less pressure.
