Khairul, hope you recover soon... there goes the free man...Originally posted by kai28:i've just reconfirmed with our opponents regarding sunday's game.
same arrangement...kickoff 9:30 @gess. i dun think they've decided on the colour to wear.
robin,i will not be playing this game...injured my shin again. come sunday, the person from the opposing team to liase with is Dennis. If u need to contact him the no. is 97307694.
I must sat that the ref is quite good... Good to hear about Mun Yeong, as he will give us more options. By the way, not sure if Damien can recover from the last match (sprained ankle)...Originally posted by bara_cuda:Alfred has booked the referee and Mun Yeong will be coming down.

Khai, wat happen to your shin?? Irwin may be coming down this Sunday for our game. We were just talking about you. We had a PSA Cup game today, beat CIAS 4-2.....into quater finals. Will you still come down even though you are injured? Hope you can still come down.
Russ, may get one of my player down. Name is Irwin, captain for my police team. Will review game plan at later stage.
Originally posted by Robin.G:Robin, you don't call it a crack, fracture is the correct term for it. Anyway, Khairul's injury resembles what I had in JC. I had shin splints and the best treatment is to stop running and jumping until it heals itself. Being a student, I was also refered to the SSC physiotherapist. However, I do not think Khairul's is as serious.
By the way, Khairul, having shin injuries for about 2 months, you may have a crack in your shin thus the pain from running. I feel that you should go check the problem with the doctor. If it's a crack and you dun remedy it early, the crack may open up causing more damages. I also think you should consider wearing shin pads when you play. Talking about this, I dun think you can try the shin pads when you buy (as pointed out by Russ in earlier messages).
Originally posted by wywy:robin, one of my school fren, micheal, will be coming down tis sun for the match too. since he plays on left mid and is a natural left legger (russ will be most hapi to hear tis. heehee) , i tot why not letz take a look at him. might be abt to add another dimension to our formation. he has got good stamina but prob is the size. ard my size or maybe slightly smaller.
I personally think we still played better, but basically lost out in fitness. Those young guys had more stamina and pace. We still need to do more off-the-ball running into open spaces as well. So when's the next game? If there isn't one this Sunday, we can go down to the field and have a training-cum-kick around session.Originally posted by kai28:anybody wants to give a review of the game?
how was the new player?
Training sounds good. I will let jimmy, chester and alfred know but if they have any queries, I will refer them to you. A piece of bad news, Marcus is out as he needs to work on sundays.Originally posted by Robin.G:I suggest that we have our own soccer session this Sun without arranging a match. Pls keep all players informed.
In the meantime, opponents can still be arranged for the weeks ahead. Khai, can you kindly take charge of the scheduling. Cheers.
Better decide if it's gonna be a kick-around session, training session, or both. Then those coming down will know what to expect and be in the right frame of mind.Originally posted by bara_cuda:Training sounds good. no lah...i not trying to sell myself. there's a couple other players who can play that free role..anyway i'm out for the time being what rite and i'll be out for the whole of november as well due to the fasting month...Originally posted by Robin.G:In fact, I just played that formation for 'A' Div team yesterday for the police tournament. We won and we are in the semi finals for 2 years running. I'm very happy. Getting to finals will be a bonus.
Khai, dun be shy, I can only think of one suitable person for the free attacking midfield position and it's YOU!! You are right, I totally forgot about Ian. He will play left defence and both Chester and Alfred can rotate to play right back.
I really hope our boys won't be too dishearten by our string of defeats. I am not for that matter. I enjoyed all the games except one. I thought we take a break from a match this week for our boys to "recharge". I just hope that our players are committed and won't give up on this team.
In the meantime, do we have enough players to play 7/6 aside with small goal poles on the field? Alvin, Russ, Khai and Chester, please check with the players under your purview. We can work on some set pieces and corners before that. I will be playing a nite game for my church team on that day but will still come down.
Alvin & Russ, my car repaired already. Leak in radiator. Cost me $160/- bucks!!!
I think we should do a head count on our side as well.Originally posted by kai28:no lah...i not trying to sell myself. there's a couple other players who can play that free role..anyway i'm out for the time being what rite and i'll be out for the whole of november as well due to the fasting month...
alvin, maybe you would want to check with alan and hong wei if they want to join the kick around session? perhaps our players can form 1 team and they can form another and we can have a 7-a-side game..
