Not sure whether any of you read about it, but here's an article I read in the TODAY this morning:
OVERWEIGHT AMERICANS SUE FAST FOOD GIANTS
Fast food giants are being sued for deliberately serving meals that make customers fat and sick. Several overweight Americans have filed suits in the New York State Supreme Court against McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's and Kentucky Fried Chicken for enticing them with greasy, salty and sugary food.
The New York Post reported that Mr Ceasar Barbar, one of the plaintiffs, who had been regularly eating fast food, claimed that fast food has caused him two heart attacks and diabetes. "I thought it was good. I never thought there was anything wrong with it," said the 57-year-old, who weighs 125kg.

Just read in the New Paper today:
In Arizona, an English teacher failed a student who she claimed plagiarised work, failed a paper and did not attend make-up classes, among other things.
The teacher then received a letter from a lawyer, asking her to take "whatever action necessary" to make sure that the student graduates from her class or else the family would sue.
In the end, school officials allowed the student to retake a test five hours before graduation and receive her diploma. The family's lawyer claimed that the teacher failed to produce a syllabus indicating how she arrived at her grades and said there was a question of subjective grading.
Hmmm... idea.... -
