Hi folks. Finally got verified after doing what russ told me to do. Wouldn't mind being the manager if we have sufficient players to run the show. I must say that my chaps who played the first game together with us have their own commitments else where (own team etc). However, they are nice chaps who will play if they are not engage.
After being the manager of the Central Police Team for the 3rd year, I have decided to step down after our tournament ends this year in Sept. Very tiring and difficult to manage players who are not committed. Just like our league, if we are not committed, there will be much difficulty running the show (However, Alvin, it's still ok if you decide to tour Hongkong for another additional 1-2 weeks. I strongly believe all of us would'nt mind, right??
) Thus, unless we have sufficient committed players, I find it quite stressful to go round looking for players just to play for us. This is my personal view.
By the way, for this forum, is there anyway we can tell if there is a new response/reply to any of the messages??
I wanted to reply to russell's msg earlier but decided to post a new topic. instead. -
I really don't get your question on new response/reply. I don't see a problem at all. Anyway, welcome to the new forum. I do empathise with your situation with the police team as I was manager for RSAF grp II for two years too. However, what do you mean by "if we have sufficient players to run the show"? Isn't the manager the one who is suppose to run the show? Anyway, since I am dying to play, I hereby volunteer for the job. Hopefully, we can get the team up and playing soon. -
Alvin, unlike our old gutter talk, we can see new replies at one glance to certain msg put up by anyone. However, for this new forum, I guess we have to see the Numberof replies to see if there is a new reply to certain msg (we have to pay attention to the figure). Alternatively, we have to click our msg and see if there are new replies attached to it at the bottom. That was my qns. I did not say that there was a problem but the reason I started a new thread was because I was thinking maybe you guys won't notice that there was a new reply to the msg.
About the manager thingy, my concern is getting sufficient players and as informed, most of my chaps are not able to commit. I would have difficulties getting players from my side. If you guys are able to get more players for the team, I am most willing to arrange the field and referree as I have the contacts. -
