Any Good Music School in Singapore?

Hmmm...do u think i can still join such music classes when i'm older, like about late twenties?? Cos now no time to learn and oso no money to go for the classes...but i'm realli realli interested in music..onli i got no oppurtunities to learn..

ya, it's never to late to learn music! Me also 27 already...
my class also got 30+ one...hehee..
btw, some publicity for my school, they are havin some special 4th anniversary promotion going on now till end of tis month..go check it out at their website, http://www.harkmusic.com
they are giving away free guitars, studio recording and discounts...i think very worth it...
never think it's too late to learn...it's always feel good to learn something you like, to destress from normal working life...and get some skills!

are there any prerequisites for these classes?
like say, I went to Hark's website and saw them offering classes on like pop piano, guitar and songwriting.. for pop piano, do you need to like already have a certain level of technical skill in playing the piano?.. I did take piano lessons when I was young but I stopped after grade 5 so not really very good and like quite rusty now after so long.. same goes for my guitar.. I stopped playing after secondary school when I was in guitar club..
also, for the songwriter course, do you like need to be able to play a multitude of instruments first?
and lastly, what are the rates for Hark for these courses?

previously,i did join ah du singing contest.I went for audition and cannot make it too cos my leg shaky...nervous too.I also wished to take vocal lesson but too expensive to afford it.i mainly just went to ktv to practice on own.do anyone here always go to ktv to practice too?got any pointer to share if we can go ktv...and train.

if i'm not wrong, if you dont have background, they put you to start from the first lesson...when i started,i also know nuts about music..they will start from beginning..
for those who knows, they will filter out and arrange a class more suitable for u...
for the song-composing...i not very sure..but heard from my friend who join the course..they r teaching more of concepts of song writing structure..format..etc...not about playing various instruments...anyway, some well-known composers also dun play alot of instrument..some even jus record the melody into a recorder and get someone to play it for them...

Yes Peter Chen opened his own school called Music Clinic. It's cheaper than LWSSOM and I think the teaching is better too cos Peter actually teaches himself...at LWSSOM only the junior teachers teach new students.

Thanx a lot mist. but ive calculated, is only a bit cheaper than wei song's. i found another music school called hark music which u all mentioned. is $120/mth (they dun charge gst), peter chen $168/mth (dunno got gst a not), then wei song's $205.4 (include gst). the hark music i can just walk there, so no need to spend extra on transport. though is consider cheap among them, but i dunno is the school good a not. anyone of you attending class there now?

hmmmmmmmmmm since there are gd comments on hark music, think mayb i will join that too. but hor need to pay a $50, dunno is deposit or wat. though is refundable but dunno the conditions tough a not.

personally i feel hark music is quite good, in the sense they're not commercialized and the teachers really have the passion for music, very helpful also..
the $50 is the registration fee, which is non-refundable.
