I don't understand why Chinese pop haters are doing in this forum. They like to bash at every single Chinese pop topics for no good reason. And one thing to note, all of them spring up at the same time. Is there some conspiracy or what?
If you don't like Chinese pop, you have no business here. I listen to both English and Chinese pop. I also feel most Chinese pop is far too immature in most sense, but not all Chinese pop deserves this kind of thrashing. Just like I don't understand why Eminem was held in "high esteem" for his songs about burying his mum and murdering his wife. Also, boybands/girlbands are not exclusive to Chinese pop.
Please respect other people in this forum. If you don't like it, you can very well comment, but there is no need at all for the insults which are so uncalled for. Glorify your English pop in forums dedicated for that purpose, not here. -

I don't like english pop too...but at least its ok when being compared to crap chinese music. I don't like Eminem's music too except for his powerful lyrics...at least he is much better than those Chinese pop shitheads. I don't see any talented chinese pop star unless U prove me wrong.... To me, they are all sucky shitheads and their followers suck too.

Listening to Chinese pop doesn't mean that one does not have intelligence, to whoever say that. Neither does it mean that one does not listen to other music as well. Please do not be so "close- minded". For my case, I do listen to X-japan and Chemistry, though my fave Jap act is Gackt. I also listen to Nirvana and Pink Floyd, though my faves are Beatles, Pet Shop Boys, Pulp,etc.
Anyway, what I feel is that people have their own rights to listen to whatever kind of music which befits them, you don't have to condemn people just because they listen to something which you don't like. Of course, I find that those fans who book cabs, cry buckets over idols are damn dumb, but they are not real music fans anyway, so why bother? Not all Chinese music is decent, but I am a Chinese and I grow up with it, so I can relate to Chinese music better, which I feel is the same case for most Chinese music listeners too. And if you are not an avid Chinese music fan, you are not in the position to say that all Chinese music sucks, because you don't know enough of it to condemn it. -

I listen to Gackt (this sounds nicer, like a little reptile) both before and after his Malice Mizer days. I don't know why I like it, but the music haunts me. Just like why some people like Marilyn Manson?
And Chinese music listeners are not lamers.
