I'm delighted with A*mei's and Harlem's long-overdue win.... at long last! A*mei's high-kicking energetic performance left me breathless.... literally!!! And the effervescent Harlem was definitely the crowd favourite. The night belonged to both of them.
Good to see Jay walking away with the awards that matter more to him .... he's more talented as a musician than a singer.
A bit disappointed that the Newcomer award went to Jeffrey Kung....
Singapore artistes went home empty handed this year, but hopefully they'll do better next year. -

Well...national pride aside...yah...yanzi, tanya...well...they still did not quite make it there...well...would be nice for tanya to pick up the best composer over best vocalist...yanzi....the fruit is not ripe for picking...besides she has a good competition.
As for Stella...NEVER NEVER...Peggy is so much talented...and how can Jeffrey Kung win...an UPSET! Did u see her face...Stella's face turned into a very sour look. Come on...who does she think she is...ren qi...lose to S.H.E, talent lose to peggy...Wat a disgrace...act so kiasu.
Best band...was an upset...am glad B.A.D won though. -

Yes, the Newcomer and Best Band were definitely upsets. But the Jin Qu Jiang is famous for upsets lah.
Yanzi looked quite good that nite... more matured and better fashion sense this time, thank god! Quite a pity Tanya didnt get the best composer award though ...
On the whole, this year's awards show was much better than last year... the pace was brisk, host Tao Zi was a riot (as usual), and the entertainment provided by A*Mei, Lee Hom and Eason Chan/William So/Andy Hui was great.
Now for Spore's Jin Qu Jiang.... -

haven listen to jiao gong group song b4..in fact no hear about them at all b4 the presentation...
heard shorts of their song when their name were called for the best group award....
can only say i cant really accept their kinda music loh...sounds bit too messy and cant really feel to their frequency...
of cos would beri much prefer mayday kinda style..yeah..and was juz wondering...the jiao gong people...they do look like some workers eh ? like say...plumbers ?

Many Taiwanese critics gave their predictions for the various awards before the day, and when it came to Best Group, almost all of them said they heard nothing about Jiao Gong Yue Dui before they were nominated. But I guess more people will take notice of them now.
The most upsetting part should be the Best Newcomer. Abit cannot believe Kong Ling Qi got the award. There were some whispers of "zao ma", coz his mentor Xiao Chong was one of the panel judges. He did not make a big splash in Taiwan, mind you, neither was he that superb. Come on lah, even L.A. Boyz were much better than him when it comes to rap!

I was really happy to witness Ah Mei Received the award- The best female vocalist,I jumped up excitedly ,as I imagined I was Ah Mei who was going to get the award.
My *yan Guang * not bad . Ah Mei is my favourite artist and I trust her * shi li *
Anyway Jay Chou I believe as many fansy have predicted did very well at the reward.
I didn't watch thorought the show but I did manage to catch the important moment@ glance start from the best newcomer- Kong LIng Qi.
This recipent, for me quite unpredictable ,what I suppose is SHE or Xu Zhe Pei.

Yah...from what I read...Kong Ling Qi's mentor was on the judging panel...
And it is said that the judging panel consisted of many Ah Mei's friends...haha...
And the male award...well...they went thru a few rounds of voting...sky wu, lee hom and william so were eliminated during first round, jay chou 2nd round, but after discussion decided to take jay into consideration...but the real race was btw harlem and eason... -
