personali i tink wang de yuan, is kinda nt bad.. as in, he won in a singing competitn b4 he join e tcs. dun rem much, but he seemed talented. tho' nt much knowledge of him actuali.. nt 2 mention abt e rest, very fresh n stil new..

Supposingly, Wang De Yuan is da best amongst them...having won a contest and all that...but i think he very qian bian...the way he speaks or wat...i dunno...
Generally the 5 guys look better than Tension or Mayday AS INDIVIDUALS...but when u put them together...it's like very odd...they juz dun have the seh...u know wat i mean. -
Except for Wang De Yuan who had won a tv singing competition (shao nian jin mu dan bei?), the rest I don't think have any singing credentials. The other 4 actually hail from the Star Search contests, but I don't think they were picked because they had fab singing voices or what anyway. They were just like F4 & WeWe, formed for the sake of having a boygroup, most probably. This kind of "pin pin cou cou" where will have "seh"?
Interesting to note that this local group comprises of at least 2 non-Singaporeans, namely Jeff Wang (Taiwan) and Shi Bin (China). Not sure about the rest. -

When was it formed? How come there's no publicity?
Besides Wang De Yuan, Shi Bin (Err... is he the Star Search champ?) and Jeff Wang, who are the other two???
Anyway, they probably disband or fade into obscurity in a year's time. -
well..onli wang deyuan is a local..as mentioned,jeff wang is from taiwan and shi bin is from china..the other 2 guys are hu wen sui(oso from china) and gary yap(malaysia)...

Remember tcs once try to form a group of rising male artist like Andrew Siew, Wang Tian Cai & Co.(the rest r such unknowns tat i cant even name them)The group totally flop. Only Andrew remain n survive for now...
Seriously do they really think tat putting several male artists together n package them as a band will sell???
I really doubt it will wif tat combination!

That was the TCS 5 Tigers (wu hu jiang). I only remember Thomas Ong and Andrew Seow also. I think also has Qin Wei (a short but cute guy), Jamie Wong's ex-hubby and...erm, you got me...
Andrew Seow was a total flop in Ch8, that's why he went over to Ch5, and flourished there, because of his good command in English. Thomas Ong would have been the most popular among the five guys, but for his controversy with MediaCorp on him "revealing too much details on his contract".
Anyway, a "local" group with only one local. How convincing can you get? But I shall reserve my comments until I have listened to them proper. I am not keeping my fingers crossed though... -

I saw them perform recently... think it was a New Year concert on tcs8... they were all dressed in whites and left almost no impression on me. No need to wait for long... they'll die a quick death, heh heh.

The only boy band (a bit hard to classify them under boy band) but they r the only ones with the shi li...is none other than DREAMZ FM.

Can't quite remember if Robin Goh was in the group, but he is quite a competent singer (remember the version of "Xie Hou" by him and Cai LiLian?) Anyway, he is now active in stage plays, with "Chang & Eng" being his most famous play.
Wang De Yuan had already been composing during his school years. With his brother, I believe? His song did appear in 933 chart few years back for 1-2 weeks. He also had a book out, which is like a travel journal. Not interested in him anyway, especially after meeting him before in person a few year ago. He was a little haughty back then, but perhaps he has grown up now? *Shrug* -
the 5 tigers..hmm majiam hongkong 5 tigers? haha...other den thomas ong,qin wei and andrew seow..the other two guys are yang xingquan ie. jamie lee's ex hubby and zheng wenquan...both oso quan eh? haha..if bo rem sala zheng wenquan left the local media and went to hongkong or taiwan to continue his modelling career...from then bo simi news of him anymore..his face quite chubby n cute..those geena geena face..

Actually, all of them have pretty good voices, except as a group they are unable to harmonise well. My guess is that they won't last that long.

Dreamz FM, now tat u mention it i remember all the faces of 5 tigers liao. Zheng Wenquan should b the youngest one of the lot appearing in onli one tv seial as a tennis player. Long time ago. Well for Yang Xingquan hmm... he looks abit like Robin Goh but he also no impact one beside begin Jamie Lee'ex.

PUR-LEASE their cherographed dance moves were so funny! like so gek say one! but we must be fair what, their singing if maybe given more time might be an asset to mediacorp but of cos till then (which might be quite a long till) Dreamz fm would still be singapore's best under-rated guy band! -
