OK lets stop dissing the artists. Both of them have talent but they present it in different styles. It's tottaly up to the individuals preferences. THEYRE BOTH GREAT ARTISTS!!
First of all Ayumi does not have a terrible voice. Her vocal range is quite good. She's no MISIA but i think she an excellent vocalist. If youe seen DOME tour youll see what i mean.
Second of all Ayumi's compositions are much more interesting and varied. Sory to say but Hikki's arent too original. They sound quite a lot like any RnB artists. Trust e on this one. I live in Toronto Canada and RnB and Hip Hop is on the radio 24/7.
You ppl should really stop insulting both artists, especailly ayumi. She's underated b/c ppl label her constantly as being only a pop-artist while she's much much more
watch mtv unplugged... just in case u r wondering who's i'm talking about... it's utada hikaru.... she's the only jap artist, after chage n aska to be invited to perform in mtv unplugged... enough said...
Yeah...and to be invited to sing on Unplugged is really something...furthermore for someone as young as Hikki. Ppl like Namie or Ayumi won't be able to reach that standard.
She was invited to perform on Unplugged because she is popular (would an unheard of artist with talent be intvited? Nope). It doesn't prove that she's better than Ayu in any way. There are lots of crummy stars who are popular (e.g. Brittney Spears, Atomic Kitten, So Solid Crew). Why do any of those "idols" get invited to perform on big shows? It's not because they're talented, I can tell you.
eh.. if u noticed.. britney spears din get to perform in unplugged.. it's for ppl talented.. eg harlem yu...
