Hmm...y not let's discuss the sales of the singers here then. Personally, every week i will look at 5 taiwan SAlEs charts and somehow has a grasp of the sales of some singers. Anyway, dun really believe whatever the media tells you, most probably it isnt true. One of the jokes that our media has made is abt Fann's sales in Taiwan. I remember that her << guang jie >> was claimed to haf 200,000 copies sold loh, which is SHIT. She only entered the sales charts for a few weeks, and the longest i see is 5 weeks and the ranking is very fluctuating, from no5, to no6, no17, no20.
Do u tink on chart with these 4 rankings, will give 200,000 copies?
I agree with you...the reports are not very true at times...in fact her MEI YOU WEN TI...according to reports only sold 12,000 copies...in taiwan
hmm, possibly they meant there are "presence" of 200,000 copies of albums in the market, but not necessarily through album sales.
How about CDs which they gave away on promotion as well as to the broadcast and print media for reviews? That will inflate the album "presence" (not sales) substantially. One radio contest can easily give away 5 albums at one go. If several contest are held per day by just one station, one station can give away about almost about 20-30 CDs per day. One week per station -> 100-210 CDs...Given the number of TV and radio station, newspapers and magazines, etc in Taiwan...hmm, not impossible...
Aiya, this kind of things, very easy to inflate and bluff your way through one lah...
