Actually, I think Elva's first album sold more copies than Yanzi's My Desired Happiness. Elva's first album sold 800,000 copies but Yanzi sold 500,000. *(I am not very sure abt the figures but I think is something like that if I'm not wrong)
By the way, can anyone tell mi how many copies Elva's second album sold? -

Well, it is on no2 now, not sure if it helps. She has altogether 3 songs, during the time period where they will count the top 10female singers. She has qiang wei, which has some pathetic pts, n chuang wei de tian qi and wo ai ni na me duo. Anyway, elva is nice manz, last time she came, i even get to sing wif her on stage, ahhahaha. Anyway, bought the album, BUT shit man, i lost it somewhere, hope my juniors can find it back. Oh ya, actually, not bad lah, the album is...hmm....worth buying, around ****.

Hi & oh Chen Qizhen was the one to introduce me to chinese pop. Cos i listen to english music ever since i knew the word called "music". I used to not like all the chinese pop artists cos they only sing other people's compositions and can't play any instruments. Sorrie for the stereotyping but... Hence when my friends talked about chen qizhen i asked them about her. Oh I was happy happy browsing this new city-link at city hall mrt station and happened to be at the new HMV SO GUESS WHAT... Chen QiZhen was scheduled to perform there and give autographs. Maybe it was fate or what but i stayed and listened to her guitar-playing and was amazed by her song-writing skills. A couple of days later i went to buy her latest album at that time and had an enjoyable time listening to it. I managed to tab the chords for one of her hits but my voice brings disgrace to her song(it juz sounds weird for a guy to sing a girl's song). For all those bash-stella-wannabes: I admit i quite like her songs. her "xi huan" and "feng shou di qi tian" are nice. I noticed she likes to play the D key and the D chordal progression. "xi huan" is in D while the "feng shou..." is in Eb(half a key higher). On guitar is very simple, juz put the capo on the first fret and play in D...
Hope to listen more to guitar-swashing purists musicians out there. "P -
