Its not the looks that counts it's the voice.Get it? the voice.......y izzit that u guys always look at looks n go gaga over them.....But i think Jolin won't last.She has the looks now but how bout later?her voice strong not bad but her fans listen to her cos of her looks.Stella lucky gal she sings high n sweet.But she has the composing blood.Penny watch out for her.Stefanie long lasting.What does the music ring lag is singers who compose.y go for looks when tt is onli on the outside?

Actually most singers who look average sings really well...sometimes also depend on packaging...julia peng may not look good but she has a great voice...even ah mei too..

Does anybody have any news about Elva, I haven't heard anything about her, maybe that's because I live in Canada.

Elva would be releasing her EP in August...with 4 English songs, one of which is from her chi song Shuai La Shuai La...with a Latin Mix...she should come up with her full length album meant for the jap market in october.

Hmm, I agree that all 4 have their own good qualities, though singing wise, I think Elva has the best vocals followed by Stefanie.
Actually, this thread is supposed to comment on the singers, right? Singers = People who sing, so why are we talking about looks and not their singing prowess? I guess if you are talking about looks, don't bother to use the tag "singers", just call them "pop stars" will do, so as not to tarnish the word "singers". -
Anyone know whose album sold the most? Stefanie's Kite, Elva's Tomorrow or Jolin 's Lucky Number ?

Actually, judging from reports, Stefanie's album should be the best-selling among the 3. It is said that her album hit the 200 000 mark within a very short time. Second, would be Elva. Her sales have been not bad, according to i-weekly, she sold 195 000. As for Jolin, her sales have been dipping drastically, and she's been having problems, don't think she can last long.

Anyway I heard that Elva's album in China hit the 400,000 mark within 17 days. How about Stefanie ? Did she do well in China ?

I definitely support stef. All her 3 albums are simply solid.
She may not be as pretty as Elva though, but she has a damn sweet smile.
I got to agree that Stella is acting cute. Maybe our one and only stella fan here may protest, but i dun blame him/her. You must be blinded by her act cuteness.
She can't sing. So what if she can compose? She must be composing good music to let us admire her too. But look at her music? sigh

Hmm For me, I think that among the four, Stef Sun definitely have the most unique voice but her looks are just average. As for Elva, she has the looks and vocal which really helped her on her singing career. As for Jolin, her songs are quite soothing but her singing skills are still not as good as Elva's and Stef's. For Stella, I dun really have a good impression of hers, I trust that the media said that her vocal is born to be that, so let it be. But the songs she compose are not really that impressive. It might be easy to listen but still lack the potential to be popular among listeners. As for pple saying that Stef wins Sammi in her records, I dun deny.. but Sammi does have her own potential.. if not, she would not last for more than 10 years in singing. Stef Sun live singing skills are not able to compare to hers... but I am still proud that Sg music has been more recognised partially because of Stef and we are all proud of her. =)

Yah...Stef sure made singaporeans proud...now got chun huan ren...actually we have a lot of composers...watch u for yi qi and yong bang...(2 male singers)
Sammi's live is of course better lar...more experience...stef needs to improve on that and her dong gan -
Yah Lorz..... Stef Sun should improve on her live singing... sad thing is that people always hav the impression that she is from taiwan. Coz her first concert is in Taiwan. Should be in Singapore mah...
